A departure from the usual Sri Lankan art cinema. Prassana Vithanage successfully merges the pathos and disillusionment of the meaningless civil war ravaging his country. Subtly anti LTTE, the film portrays for the first time, the plight of the Muslim populations tribulations living in the eastern seaboard of Sri Lanka. A largely peaceful community sadly caught between the cross fire. Some excellent documentary type footage of the area.

Solid contributions from an ensemble cast of no-name actors. Expertly photographed and beautifully melancholic music adds to an altogether engrossing cinematic experience.
